BEFORE YOU GET STARTED

Questions business owners ask.

What is the difference between LAYVEX RB and SA?

RB is mechanically attached reflective roofing underlayment. SA is self-adhered reflective roofing underlayment and an ice and water shield. Select the product for the intended roof assembly using current project-specific documentation.

How much material is on each roll?

RB is 4.5 ft × 100 ft, or 450 sq ft (4.5 squares) per roll. SA is 4 ft × 60 ft, or 240 sq ft (2.4 squares) per roll. These are gross roll areas. Installed coverage is reduced by required overlaps and project details.

Is LAYVEX the same as ELEVATE attic insulation?

No. LAYVEX is roofing underlayment for suitable roofing projects. AttiicELEVATE™ is Advanced Multi-Layer Reflective Insulation designed for residential attic applications. They have different applications and installation requirements.

Does a reflective surface guarantee energy savings?

No. Thermal performance depends on the roof assembly, air spaces, ventilation, climate and installation. Surface properties alone do not establish installed-system performance or energy savings.

What should be considered for a roofing project?

Consider the roof covering, substrate, slope and local requirements. Follow current product-specific installation instructions.
